merry christmas...

We had a wonderful day. Jordan didn't get up until 7.45am which was a total surprise. She then woke Mackenzie up and they tore through their presents at lightning speed. Jordan absolutely loved her dolls house and Mackenzie was very excited about her scooter. They got so many things it wasn't funny. They got to play with their new presents for a while then we got packed up and drove down to Mum's place where we had lunch with Darren, Scott, Mum and Dad. It was really nice. After lunch it was like Santa had been all over again when Mum and Dad started handing out the presents. The kids got these gorgeous mini quad bikes and loads of other things.
Lori, Crag, Josh and Jorja came down on Boxing Day so the kids had a ball all playing together. Later that night Mackenzie developed a really high fever and vomited off and on all night. I took her to the doctor yesterday and she has tonsillitis, the poor little thing. She's a lot better today, so hopefully she will be back to normal soon. Dad and I took the girls down the beach this morning and they had a ball. Hopefully they will get to do this every day while we are down the coast, although rain is forecast for the next few days.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Have a safe and Happy New Year. Sorry I can't upload any photos at the moment as I will have to wait until I am back at my place. Mum's computer doesn't have the software installed for my camera :o( I will post pictures next week.

santa claus is coming to town...

Phew! Santa's elves have just finished their work for the evening. This is exhausting! All I can say is thank goodness that I wrapped all of the small presents a while ago, otherwise I would still be at this for hours. We have had such a busy weekend already. We went to a Christmas Party last night at James and Michelle's place, so we stayed down at Mum's the night. Then we drove up to Vic's parents' for lunch today, did a little last minute shopping at Eastgardens then got back home around 5pm. By the time the kids had dinner and a bath it was time to sit down and watch Christmas Vacation then a little of the Carols by Candlelight. The kids got to see Hi-5 then it was bedtime. By then it was already 9.45pm. Where does the time go? Anyway, I'm off to bed now. Who knows what time Jordan will be awake. I'm predicting anywhere from about 5.45am...blahhhhhh!!
Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you have a wonderful day.

christmas in australia...

I thought my overseas blog readers might appreciate this. In my local neighbourhood I discovered a nativity scene with a gazebo set up over it, so baby Jesus doesn't get sunburnt...lol. Come on over and spend Christmas with us in the sun!!

goodbye miss jasmine...

It is a sad day today because we had to say goodbye to Jordan's wonderful kindy teacher, Miss Jasmine. She is going to teach at a different kindy next year. She has been so amazing. Jordan had a tough time adjusting to the kindy routine and the only person that she would go to was Miss Jasmine. Every week, twice a week, for 6 months Jordan cried when we dropped her off at Kindy. Every Tuesday and Thursday Miss Jasmine would pick her up and give her a cuddle and tell Jordan it would be okay. It is very sad that she isn't going to be there next year. I'm sure that Jordan will be okay with whoever her new teacher is next year because she has been going all year now, so she knows the drill. Miss Jasmine gave Jordan a lovely present today - a Santa jar filled with jelly beans. How great is that? We will really miss you Miss Jasmine :o(

happy 2nd birthday mackenzie...

Today my baby is two. I can't believe how fast the last two years have gone. It's scary! We had a party down at my Mum and Dad's and it was great. The weather was just perfect, so the kids all went for a swim at the beach after lunch. We had a BBQ then ice cream cake and cupcakes...yummmmm! Mackenzie had a ball and was a perfect angel. It was a fantastic day. She got so many beautiful presents. Our present to her was an electric car that she can drive herself or we can drive it like a remote control car. She loved it.

go elf yourself...

This is so funny, but then again, I'm easily amused :oP

i *heart* robbie...

Mum and I had an awesome time at the concert. Our seats weren't the best. We were right down almost on ground level and about 3/4 the way down the ground, so I was a bit disappointed with that at first. As soon as he came onstage we were on our feet for the whole entire concert anyway, so it didn't really matter. We could see really well and had a terrific view of the big screen. He played a lot of songs from Intensive Care and all of his big songs. He talked a lot with the crowd and was really funny. He is just so gorgeous, it's just ridiculous! I *heart* Robbie.

christmas is in da house...

We put up our Christmas tree on the weekend. The kids were very excited about it, but when it came to the crunch they didn't actually do much! Vic put the tree up and I pretty much decorated it. Maybe next year the girls will actually do the decorating. I still can't believe it's December. It's Mackenzie's birthday Sunday week then the next weekend it's Christmas. Every year it seems to sneak up faster...lol.
